(Rancho Cordova, CA) — An investigation is underway after two Rancho Cordova police officers shot at a woman. Officers came into contact with the woman on Monday afternoon, after a person called 911 saying someone was trying to break into their home with a butcher knife.

The woman drove away after she was shot at, leading officers on a short chase. She gave up in front of a Sacramento Regional Transit light rail station.

The woman is hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury, but it’s unclear if it’s a gunshot wound.
