(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – An update from the Sutter County D.A. regarding child molester Galen Dean Rowett, who was convicted of 2 counts of lewd & lascivious acts against 2 boys under the age of 14 and one count of possessing child pornography. He was sentenced in 2000 to 15 to life.

Yesterday he had his 7th parole hearing and was denied, and will not be eligible for another one until 2027.

The update notes that the Sutter County DA staff “will continue to attend all parole hearings and advocate for Sutter County victims.”
