(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County DA has issued a press release that “Michael David Pettet’s parole has been denied for another 7 years.” However, “Special Deputy District Attorney Elizabeth Norton argued for a 10-year denial” according to the release, citing Pettet continuing to commit offenses in prison.

Those offences include threatening a judical officer with death and slashing another inmate. The Parole Board decided on a 7 year denial.

The release adds, Pettet “was convicted of Felony Criminal Threats for that crime and was again sent to prison. While in prison, he slashed at another inmate. He was charged with and convicted of assault with a deadly weapon with two prior strikes (the Criminal Threats and the armed robbery). This resulted in a sentence of 25 to life.”
