(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Following the death just over a week ago of 10-year-old Frankie Rosiles, hundreds of community members gathered last Thursday evening to celebrate his life with a balloon release and candlelight vigil.
And in the aftermath of Frankie’s tragic death, one of the fields at the Olivehurst Linda Little League Baseball Fields will soon be known as Frankie’s Field of Dreams. “When you start at T-ball and you got to coach pitch and minors, you create a bond with kids,” Duane Cleveland, President of Olivehurst Linda Little League told KTXL, adding “Those kids become your family and that gets part of our family here…..I want people to know what Frankie meant to this ballpark. We have a little T-ball field over here. It’s called T-ball Field of Dreams. That T-ball will that field will be called Frankie’s.”
Frankie Rosiles was killed a week ago Sunday, as family members report he was playing at his uncle’s house on Alicia Avenue in Olivehurst when the fatal shooting happened. 31-year-old Juan Martin Ortiz, a known gang member with criminal history, has been charged.
