(Sacramento, CA) — Northern California saw about half an inch of rain overnight in the Sacramento Valley including the Yuba-Sutter area. A winter weather advisory remains in effect for the Sierra Nevada through this afternoon.
A stronger storm is forecast to arrive Friday into Saturday, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and large waves.
Sunday will offer a brief break in the rain during the afternoon, but another weather system is expected to move in by evening, bringing similar stormy conditions.
