(Sacramento, CA) — California Governor Gavin Newsom has tested positive for COVID-19 after a personal trip to Mexico.

Officials say he has mild symptoms and will work remotely and self-isolate for at least five days. He plans to hold a virtual press conference today with Attorney General Rob Bonta for a “major announcement.” He is also planning a statewide tour next Wednesday, where he plans to announce policies.
