(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – If you’ve driven along Shasta Street in Yuba City recently, you may have not only noticed that new Holiday Inn Express going up, but now, a sign saying it’s open for business. That opening was made official on Monday, complete with a formal ceremony featuring community leaders, including Yuba City Mayor Wade Kirchner.

The Appeal-Democrat reports the facility was “nearly four years in the making” and this marks the first hotel chain opening a new establishment in Yuba City since 2006. It includes a fitness center, pool, community conference room and 93 rooms.

It is located at 531 Shasta St, Yuba City, between Shasta and Bridge Streets, near the Fifth Street Bridge, Gauche Aquatic Park and the Plumas Street Shopping District.
