(Yuba-Sutter, CA) — Northern California could see some rain and snow today before a series of atmospheric rivers arrives this weekend. Moderate rain is expected in the Sacramento Valley tonight, with some light snow falling in the highest elevations of the Sierra. A quarter to half inch of rain is expected.

Forecasters say, after this storm clears, rain will be possible every day from Friday through at least next Tuesday. By then, one to three inches of rain are expected in the valley, and two to six inches of rain are expected in the foothills and mountains below the snow line.
