(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Marysville Police Department will have additional officers on patrol, now through Labor Day (September 4th), on the lookout for impaired drivers as part of a national enforcement campaign, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” according to a release.
In addition to the extra patrols, Marysville Police will conduct a DUI Checkpoint tomorrow, from 6:00 p.m. until midnight at an undisclosed location, within the city of Marysville.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 13,383 people were killed in drunk-driving crashes in 2021. That’s one person every 39 minutes.
