(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – A Marysville Fire Department truck was the victim of a hit & run driver Saturday night.

The crew was responding to a solo vehicle injury collision on HWY 70 near Mayer Road. A support engine followed the hit & run driver into Marysville, where the Marysville Police Department “was able to stop the elderly driver for us” according to a CHP release.

Just prior to that incident, CHP Yuba-Sutter had responded to a Hummer limo vs. sedan collision on 70 near Saddleback. There were four occupants of each vehicle and all sustained minor injuries, according to the release.

Neither the hit & run driver, nor any firefighters were injured in the HWY 70/Mayer Road incident.
