(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The long awaited opening of a new dance studio for the Marysville Charter Academy of the Arts opened its doors Tuesday, providing dance students their first permanent facility since 2017. It was at that time the Marysville auditorium was closed due to a failure to meet earthquake standards, according to The Appeal-Democrat. Over the past six years, MCAA dancers have been using the Tri-Counties Community Center and the south auditorium at Marysville High School for performances and practices.
The new facility features new flooring, a double portable studio, changing rooms and ballet barres. The total cost the paper reports, is “around $1.2-million.”
