(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Multiple fire departments responded at around 6:00 last evening, to a major tire fire in West Linda. It occurred in the 5000 block of Arboga Road, according to the Yuba-Sutter News Facebook page, citing scanner traffic which describes a “fully involved 20,000 square foot commercial building.”
It’s also referred to in another posting as a “2,000 square foot truck shop with a large amount of tires.”
Propane tanks were reported exploding, a hard closure of Arboga Road was requested at 7:30 and by 6:23 the fire reportedly “jumped the tracks towards Canal Street, from 3rd to 5th Avenue” adding that some evacuations had begun, according to online updates.
Numerous roads & streets were closed throughout the area and Union Pacific was ‘shut down.” No injuries reported thus far.
