(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – With the recent passing of Measure C, Marysville will soon undertake a major road improvement project, using that 1% sales tax for over $3-million of major street work. A groundbreaking ceremony to kick off the overhaul of Marysville roads is scheduled for tomorrow.
The Appeal-Democrat reports twelve sites will undergo improvements, with a contract worth $3,336,937.60 awarded to Lamon Construction Company. Those sites include:
– East 22nd Street
– Olson Court
– A Street (from 4 to 6th Streets)
– 14th Street (from H to F Streets)
– East 19th Street (from Covillaud to Sampson Streets)
– East 22nd street (Cheim Blvd. To SR 20)
– Del Pero Street (from Rideout Way to Toddwick Avenue)
Much of the work is expected to be completed before the end of this year, but additional paving and construction will continue through 2024r.
A groundbreaking ceremony to launch this major construction project is scheduled for tomorrow and the public is invited, beginning at 10:00 Wednesday morning at the intersection of East 22nd Street and Cheim Boulevard in Marysville.
