(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – An update on Yuba-Sutter’s closest primary election races: The Sutter County Clerk-Recorder tells The Appeal-Democrat there were only 353 ballots left to count as of yesterday.

In the Supervisor races: In Districts 1 & 5 it appears the incumbents are on their way out. In District 1, Jeff Boone has 53.8% of the vote while in District 5, Jeff Stephens has 51.94%. That would be enough to avoid a runoff in November in the three candidate race.

In Yuba County, the Clerk-Recorder tells the paper Seth Fuhrer has extended his election night lead to 66.58% in District 3, while in District 2, challenger Renick House’s lead has increased to 53.04%.

Also, at this point, none of the three candidates for Yuba Water Agency Director North has met the 50%-plus-one threshold to avoid a runoff. Incumbent Charlie Mathews has 47.08%, challenger Randy Fletcher is at 33.76 and Don Schrader is at 19.16.
