(Butte County, CA) – The Butte County DA has added additional charges of child molestation to 18-year-old Will Kevil of Oroville’s existing charges, auto theft & robbery. Kevil is now also charged for allegedly using the jail’s tablet communication system for inmates, to encourage a 13-year-old to commit lewd video acts.
Kevil is the teen charged with 13 counts for his grand theft auto spree last December. He’s pled no contest to all of them.
The DA tells Action News Kevil knew the 13-year-old before being put in jail and had multiple contacts while behind bars. He remains jailed without bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on the child molestation charges July 17th.
