(Folsom, CA) — The Intel Corporation is planning hundreds of layoffs at its Folsom campus. The company recently sent warnings to the state Employment Development Department and Folsom Mayor Rosario Rodriguez, announcing its intentions to lay off 343 employees.

The warnings came via WARN Act notices, which require 60 days’ notice before mass layoffs. Intel is blaming a “challenging macro-economic environment.” Intel has more than 13-thousand workers in California.
