(Willows, CA) – A high-speed chase late Tuesday night ended, literally, at the ‘Welcome to Willows’ sign, when a Chico shooting suspect collided into it.
It began with Chico Police responding to a report of shots fired, with the suspect identified as 38-year-old Zach Kaslo, who was reportedly shooting at an occupied residence, hitting the victim’s vehicle but nothing else and then speeding away. Chico Police issued a BOLO and Kaslo’s Mercedes was picked up by CHP & Glenn County Sheriff’s deputies.
Kalso was arrested without any further incident after colliding with the Welcome to Willows sign and transported back to the Butte County Jail. Charges include reckless discharge of a firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
