(Wheatland, CA) – A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled today for the HWY 65 Wheatland Pavement Rehabilitation Project, beginning at 10:00 this morning. It will take place at the parking lot next to the Chevron at the corner of HWY 65 & McDevitt Drive.
In addition to pavement work, bike lanes are being added, drainage systems and ADA standards are being upgraded and a Class 1 multi-use path is being constructed. As well, crosswalk viability is being enhanced, driveways modified and a traffic signal is going up at 65 & McDevitt.
The cost of the project is approximately $10-million and construction is expected to run “to December” according to a post by Supervisor Bradford.
