(Granite Bay, CA) — A Granite Bay man, who recently ran for a position on the Eureka Union School District school board, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the January 6th, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot.

Dane Christoffer Thompson faces felony charges, including assaulting law enforcement, and several misdemeanors for unlawful entry and violent conduct on restricted grounds. Thompson was arraigned Monday in Sacramento but will be tried in the D.C. circuit.
