(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – While the Sheriff’s Department fired former Yuba County Deputy Henry Abe after an internal investigation into an accusation of unreasonable use of force on February 14th of last year, he was found not guilty in a subsequent court trial pursued by the District Attorney.

A statement from the Sheriff’s Office says “while the department respects the jury’s decision, they standby the conclusion that Abe violated department policy and his actions did not reflect the ethical standards of the department.”
