(Davis, CA) — A former UC Davis men’s water polo coach is pleading guilty to sharing child pornography. Twenty-eight-year-old Daniel Joseph Noble will face sentencing on September 12th.
The U.S. Department of Justice says Noble was caught by an undercover federal officer in 2022 in a private chat room showing photos of young girls being sexually abused by adults and shared more than 20 video files. UC Davis placed him on administrative leave and ordered him to stay away from campus once school officials learned of his arrest.
Noble could be sentenced from five to 20 years in prison, a 250-thousand-dollar fine and up to a lifetime of supervised release.
