(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba County Public Health has confirmed the first human case of West Nile virus infection in Yuba county this year.
As of August 11th, fourteen human West Nile virus cases were confirmed in California. That includes one in Butte County, which locally, has delt with the worst of human cases of the virus, including 269 Butte County residents infected over the past 19 years. Ten of those cases were fatal.
