(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Marysville Police Department reports an arrest in a fatal pedestrian hit & run, Saturday January 14th, which resulted in the death of a 13-year-old girl and left a 15-year-old boy injured.

The accident happened around 7:15pm in the 1900 block of B Street. The driver continued southbound on B Street after hitting the teens. The 13-year-old succumbed to her injuries last Thursday. The 15-year-old has since been released from the hospital.

An extensive investigation by MPD has resulted in the suspect vehicle being located the same day the girl died. The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Justin Preston of the 6000 block of Vierra Lane in Marysville, was booked on a felony count of hit & run resulting in death.
