(NorCal, CA) — Three men are dead after the second of back-to-back atmospheric rivers slammed Northern California. All three men were hit by falling trees at their homes.
A 41-year-old man was killed in Carmichael on Sunday afternoon, then an 82-year-old man was killed in Yuba City on Sunday night. Authorities believe he was trying to keep a redwood tree from landing on his home when it landed on him instead.
On Monday morning, a 45-year-old man was killed by a falling tree at his home along Highway 9 in Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
A second person in that home was able to escape and dial 911.
