(Sacramento, CA) — Large explosions near a Sikh temple in Sacramento happened after propane tanks caught fire. The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District says the fire on Monday afternoon happened at a building in front of the Gurdwara Sacramento Sikh Society.
Officials say several propane tanks blew up and the blast radius was at least 50 feet high.
What caused the fire and exactly where it started are not clear, but investigators do not suspect criminal activity. Nobody was injured and the temple was not damaged.
