(NorCal, CA) – Both Sutter and Butte Counties have issued local emergency proclamations in the aftermath of Sunday & Monday’s high wind event and rain.
At it’s peak, the storm knocked out power to over 10,000 homes & businesses in Sutter County and over 16,000 in Butte County. The rain caused widespread damage and also resulted in the falling tree death of a Yuba City man.
The emergency proclamations make possible access to state and federal resources if necessary according to county officials, to assist with road and property damage.
