(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – A DUI checkpoint will be set up at an “undisclosed location” tomorrow, according to a release from the Marysville Police Department. The checkpoint will occur from 5:00 until midnight, and locations are chosen based on previous incidents where driving impaired accidents have occurred.
MPD also reminds the public that DUI is not limited to just alcohol. Even though recreational marijuana is legal, driving under the influence of it, and medications that interfere with driving – even over the counter ones – are illegal as well.
Officials add that a first time DUI charge results in around $13,000 in fines & penalties on average, as well as suspension of your driver’s license.
