(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – CHP Yuba-Sutter reports a double-fatal yesterday morning at around 8:30 on HWY 20, half-a-mile east of Acacia.

The driver, a 30-year-old Clear Lake man, whose name has not been released, was killed along with an unborn child and a dog. A pregnant 23-year-old Marysville woman, a passenger in the vehicle, sustained major injuries. Her name is also being withheld at this time.

For unknown reasons, the Clear Lake man drifted into oncoming traffic on the Wadsworth Canal Bridge, colliding head-on with a 2017 Chevy Tahoe driven by a Yuba City woman, who sustained minor injuries.

Alcohol is not considered a factor.
