The CHP says Alannah Eastern, 19, of Elk Grove got on Highway 70 northbound on the southbound McGowan Parkway off-ramp. Eastern then crashes head-on into an SUV.

The unnamed 47-year-old woman in the second vehicle was killed in the collision, officials confirm. Dorcas Gramajo-Cabrera, 28, of Marysville was a passenger in the SUV and taken to Adventist Rideout in Marysville.

Someone else in the first vehicle is badly hurt, too. State and local officials are handling the post-crash investigation.
