Park Fire Near Chico Expands, Causes Massive Damage

(Chico, CA) — The Park Fire near Chico has grown to nearly just under 390-thousand acres, making it California’s fifth-largest wildfire. Sparked last Thursday, the fire has destroyed 300 homes and buildings. The accused arsonist is facing felony charges.Approximately 26-thousand residents from Butte, Tehama, Plumas, and Shasta counties were evacuated, though some have since returned.
