(Sacramento, CA) — A California infant has died after a listeria outbreak in some ready-to-eat meals. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said a total of eleven people have become ill and seven are those in California.
The CDC says the meat and poultry products from Yu Shang Food Inc that were produced before October 28th have been recalled and should be thrown out.
The CDC also says that listeria can survive in refrigerators and spread to other foods and surfaces.
