(Sacramento, CA) — California is one of the healthiest states in the nation. It placed eighth on a new list with 70 out of a possible 100 points. Hawaii came in first followed by Colorado.

The study is based on CDC data and was conducted by pharmaceutical intelligence company OZMOSI. States were scored based on a dozen categories including air quality, obesity, and behavioral habits.

California has one of the lowest obesity rates and one of the lowest percentages of adults with high cholesterol. But, it ranks dead last for air quality.
