(Sacramento, CA) — Many California cities rank among the healthiest in the U.S. A Forbes study analyzed large cities based on factors like heart disease and opioid deaths, as well as rates of diabetes, obesity, and unhealthy behaviors like smoking and binge drinking.

San Jose was the healthiest city, with low rates of drug overdoses and obesity. Other top cities included San Diego at number four, and San Francisco at number six.

Bakersfield was ranked as the unhealthiest city, having the highest heart disease rates, with Fresno and Sacramento also ranking low on the list.
