(Sacramento, CA) — California is now in a partnership with the nation’s top truck manufacturers to develop zero emission big rigs. The agreement made on Thursday means the California Air Resources Board headquartered in Sacramento and the Engine Manufacturers Association will work towards a climate goal of clean truck sales by 2036.

A news release from Governor Gavin Newsom’s Office says the partnership will help the state get on the path towards the exclusive use of zero-emissions heavy-duty trucks by 2045.
