(Sacramento, CA) — A new report shows California is reaching a historic milestone. It’s conserved 25-percent of the state’s lands and 16-percent of its coastal waters. That puts it closer to the goal of 30-percent by the year 2030.

The effort has been underway since Governor Newsom signed an executive order four years ago. He says they won’t stop working to protect the state’s “unparalleled natural beauty for generations to come.”
