(Butte County, CA) – Oroville CHP reports an arrest after a driver led officers on a pursuit exceeding 100 mph.

The chase began when the driver failed to pull over last Friday morning at around 7:10, for a vehicle code violation in Palermo. The pursuit started when that driver took off southbound on Palermo-Honcut Highway. Thereafter, in what Action News describes as a “perfectly timed spike strip maneuver” the late model silver BMW was brought to a stop near Loma Rica.

The driver was booked into the Butte County Jail for felony reckless driving, however, no names have been released.
