(YUBA-SUTTER) – A 57-year-old Wheatland man is found dead after he was reported by a friend to have gone missing during a fishing trip on Nov. 23.

Michael Babb’s remains were found near the base of Englebright Dam, early Thursday. An Army Corps of Engineer park ranger discovered Babb’s vehicle, parked near the Narrows Boat Launch.

Yuba, Placer and Butte County search teams combined their efforts in the operation by land, air, and water. An autopsy is being performed.
