(Butte County, CA) – A wanted Berry Creek man has been taken into custody, when – like an episode out of ‘Cops’- he came out of hiding, in exchange for deputies not letting loose K9 Officer Jocko.
In this case, Butte County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence incident on Bell Ranch Road in Berry Creek, and discovered the suspect, 38-year-old Jason Tripp had two active warrants, including one from a previous domestic violence incident.
Tripp did not reveal himself willingly and when police were also unsuccessful locating Tripp on the property using a drone, they announced K9 Jocko was going to be sent in to find him. At that time Tripp finally announced himself, pleading with deputies not to release Jocko. Tripp then “walked out from a heavily wooded area” and surrendered himself, according to Action News.
