(Sacramento, CA) — The agreement to bring the Oakland A’s to West Sacramento could be in jeopardy. Major League Baseball’s Players Association has yet to agree to the upgrades, including new artificial turf going in at Sutter Health Park.
The union has not yet signed off on a move to Sacramento and the team’s plan to use artificial turf. Baseball agent Scott Boras said the issue could push Major League Baseball back into talks with the Oakland Coliseum.
Boras noted the stadium will be under new ownership beginning next month and they will need a tenant.
