(Sacramento, CA) — Another atmospheric river is bringing cold, wet weather to Northern California. The heaviest rain and snow is expected this afternoon, but scattered showers are possible through tomorrow. Tomorrow may also bring thunderstorms, mainly in areas south of Marysville.
One to three inches of snow per hour could fall in the Sierra. A winter storm warning is in effect for the mountains above two and three-thousand-feet, and as far as the north Sacramento Valley.
The snow level is expected to start at four-thousand-feet then drop to two-thousand-feet. And, a wind advisory has been issued for the Sacramento Valley, where 45-mile-per-hour gusts are likely.
