(Yuba-Sutter, CA) — The Yuba-Sutter area is in for a major heatwave this week. Temperatures are expected to skyrocket into the triple digits, hitting a peak of 105 degrees by Thursday. The National Weather Service warns that this heatwave will push temperatures above normal, with daytime highs surpassing 100 degrees through Friday.
Even at night there may not be much relief with temperatures hovering between 64 and 72 degrees. Officials say folks should prepare for the intense and possibly dangerous heat.
Drink plenty of water and try to avoid being outside during the hottest parts of the day. Cooler temperatures are expected by the weekend.
