(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba College President confirms that they have launched an investigation into recently resigned head football coach Tim Mulvehill, who abruptly quit just prior to the seventh game of the season, going 0 and 6 in his brief time during his first season.
The president in an emailed statement to The Appeal-Democrat describes the investigation as “an internal personal matter…for that reason we cannot provide any further comment.” However, Jeff Larson reports that “an assistant coach released by the district” said he’s been questioned about “whether funds donated to the team made it to the appropriate place and whether donors received items they were promised in exchange for donations.”
