(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Marysville Police Department reports an attempted murder arrest after officers responded to an open 911 call Tuesday morning at 9:30. The dispatcher could hear a man saying “please don’t hurt me” and another man saying “lay right there.”

The cell phone ping directed officers to the train tracks in the 1000 block of 11th Street, where MPD Officer Martinez was approached by a man later identified as Kyle McCray. While talking with McCray, the officer heard the victim again call for help, followed by the sound of the phone and found the victim.

The victim told the MPD Officer that McCray had forced him at knifepoint to lay on the train tracks with the intent of a train running over him.

According to a MPD release, McCray was booked on multipe offences, including brandishing a weapon, kidnapping, false imprisonment and attempted murder.
