(Sutter, CA) – Both Sutter High School and Brittan Elementary School in the town of Sutter were put on “immediate lockdown” early yesterday afternoon, when, at around noon, the Sutter County Sheriff’s office received a call regarding a subject struggling with a mental health issue. That person claimed to be armed with a firearm.
Due to the area and nature of the call, the sheriff placed both schools on immediate lockdown. A press release notes that the location of the incident was not at either of the schools.
Within minutes of the call, deputies & detectives were able to quickly and safely apprehend the subject.
