(Sacramento, CA) — Nearly 21-hundred people, including lawmakers, staffers, contractors, and architects, have signed non-disclosure agreements regarding the construction of Sacramento’s new Capitol Annex building. Initially estimated at 440-million dollars in 2018, the project’s cost has soared to one-point-two billion, with taxpayers covering the expenses.
Little information is available on spending allocations, though it was revealed that five-point-two million was used to send granite from Central California to Italy for milling.
A project spokesperson defended the move, stating it was the most cost-effective option.
