(Yuba-Sutter, CA) — The 2024/25 operating budget for Yuba County was adopted by the Board of Supervisors Tuesday, after the board previously did the same in June. However, yesterday’s version included adjustments due to changes in funds and reserves.
Operating funds for the fiscal year will increase by approximately $25-million, with a final total of $337.2-million, Yuba County Administrator Kevin Mallen tells The Appeal-Democrat the Internal Service Fund was also “adjusted..to just over $46-million” with a “final budget of 384.29-million.”
The budget also includes increases in salaries and benefits for Yuba County employees, while the numbers also account for reductions in staff with “33 vacant allocated positions” according to the paper, which works out to around 3% of the county’s workforce.
Yuba County officials plan a final budget review by January of 2025, and all the Supes, with the exception of District 3 Supervisor Seth Fuhrer, approved all final budget adjustments.
