(Yuba-Sutter, CA) –The Yuba-Sutter Transit Board of Directors wants to hear from you about routes the buses take and how much it costs to ride.

The Appeal-Democrat reports the board is currently accepting public comments through Sept. 19th on proposed changes to local routes and fares that are set to become effective on or after Jan. 1, 2025. Among the proposed changes are the launch of on-demand micro-transit services to replace local fixed Routes 2 and 5, extension of weekday service hours to 8 p.m. for the local fixed route and new on-demand services, Introduction of a single ride fare of $1.50 for the general public and $0.75 for the discounted fare for the new on-demand service and an Increase in monthly pass prices from $30 to $40 for general fare, and from $15 to $20 for discounted fare.

However, these prices will be subsidized in the short term to $20 for general fare and $10 for discounted fare, as grant funds are available.
