(Butte County, CA) – The Butte County Sheriff’s office reports they’re investigating a dog mauling death.
Deputies responded at around 2:00 in the morning, last Thursday, to a report by a resident of Feather Falls of a dead woman on Blackhawk Trail. The woman was later identified as 56-year-old Davina Corbin of Feather Falls.
Based on the autopsy result, cause of death was “a domestic dog attack” according to a BCSO release.
A search warrant of the residence directly in front of where Corbin was found dead resulted in the discovery of 25 Great Danes, running loose. Animal Control officers, deputies and detectives have managed to capture 25 of them.
DNA tests are being conducted to determine which dog killed Corbin.
