(Sacramento, CA) — The future of Camp Resolution, a self-governing homeless encampment in North Sacramento, is uncertain after its lease ended Saturday. Safe Ground Sacramento, the group managing the camp, ended its lease with the city, citing barriers like lack of water, electricity, and insurance.

A legal effort by the Sacramento Homeless Union to keep the camp open was denied by a judge. The city cannot take possession of the property for 15 days, but has reportedly been offering residents alternative shelter options.
