(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – With an Excessive Heat Warning remaining in effect at least until Friday, and highs above 100 thru the weekend, local cooling centers in both Yuba and Sutter Counties will be reopening today.

The Sutter County Cooling Center is at a new location, the Tucker Room inside the Sutter County Veterans Hall, at 1425 Veterans Memorial Circle in Yuba City. Hours are from 2 until 8, starting today, through Friday.

In Yuba County, a cooling center at New Beginnings Wesleyan Church at 616 C Street in Marysville will be open, beginning at 8:00 this morning until midnight. Those hours will be in effect through Friday, and ‘leashed pets are welcome’ according to a posting from the Yuba County Office of Emergency Services.
